14-Jan-2010Xerox Egypt, in cooperation with the department of printing, publishing and packaging at the College of Applied Arts, University of Helwan, recently sponsored and organized a scientific and technical seminar titled ‘Latest Technologies of Digital Printing’, with the attendance of over 90 students from the department.
Wa’el Sedqi, Production Systems Manager at
Xerox Egypt, presented a summary on the company’s activities and its latest range of multi-colour digital printers, in addition to its future strategies in Egypt, the region and all over the world, laying emphasis on the company’s strong investment in research and development. He also delivered a presentation on the latest digital printing machines from the company, focusing on the iGen4. The presentation included several animated films elaborating the machine parts and units.
Sedqi explained the most important modern technologies available for delivering various printing jobs by using the same machine and its colour toners without any additions or modifications, such as micron printing and invisible printing.
After a Q&A session and discussions, the seminar was concluded with a display of print samples such as invitation cards, reports, posters, promotion materials, brochures, flyers, and invoices, created using
Xerox digital printing machines.
