Iraq: Al Ataba Al Abbasia Holy Shrine Print Shop Signs For a Complete Solution From Heidelberg [6-May-2012] The Al Ataba Al Abbasia Holy Shrine Print Shop in Holy Karbala, Iraq signed for a complete workflow of Heidelberg equipments. The equipments, which are the latest and the largest of its kind in the region is estimated to be around 6 million US$, according to the people who are involved in this project. The agreement aims to create an integrated print shop that can undertake all the publication works of the Holy Shrine. The machines would be used to print the first Quran in Iraq along with other printed material. The installation of the equipment is expected to be complete within this coming August.

UAE: Crown Printing Installs Heidelberg CTP[6-May-2012] Crown Printing Centre in Abu Dhabi has upgraded their plate production capability with the recent addition of a Heidelberg Suprasetter 75 Computer to Plate device. Explaining about the deal, K. G. Jacob, General Manager of Crown Printing Centre said that the CtP device will help them to meet the rising print demands and speed up the plate production process.

UAE: First DubaiSME 100 Ranking Companies Announced[6-May-2012] The first ever DubaiSME 100 ranking of companies was announced at a recent ceremony in Dubai World Trade Centre on February 12, 2012. The companies that made into the top 100 SMEs (small and medium enterprises) were honoured by Sheikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Economic Sector Committee in Dubai, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline at the ceremony. DubaiSME is the agency of the Department of Economic Development in Dubai (DED) that aims to develop the SME sector.
